Vera was born in 1925. She had 1 brother and 2 sisters. She married at only 17 and had 1 son who now lives in Melbourne, Australia and 3 daughters. She was a devoted mother until the 1960's when she worked part time at Cadbury's until she retired in 1985. Sadly she also lost her husband of 45 years the same year aged 62. However, she enjoyed her retirement immensely was fiercely independent, and the love of her life was her dog and her garden. She was never afraid of a challenge and would decorate, paint and do DIY jobs with ease. She loved bingo and had a keen eye for a bargain, which she would usually obtain from one the many charity shops she visited.
